Is 75% marks are required compulsorily in the admissions for NIT's and IIT's? What are the new guidelines released by government?

Hello,
To get admission in any nit or iit college, the candidate must have obtained atleast 75% marks in their 10+2 or the candidate must be in top 20 percentile of their respective board, however the minimum eligibility criteria for sc or st category is the candidate must have 65% marks in their 10+2.

I got 73% in 10+2 and my caste is BC-D can get admission into the NIT's? IAM from Telangana board. plz answer.
