JEE Mains and JEE Advcanced are 2 different exams for admission to Engineering courses in various Institutions. JEE Mains is the entrance exam for Private, Government Engineering Colleges and also NITs, GFTIs and IIITs. For admission to Private and Government Engineering Colleges, there is no minimum aggregate requirement. Only for admission to NITs, GFTIs and IIITs through JEE Mains score, you will need 75% in your 12th Board exams. If you belong to General Category, then it will be 75% and for reserved Categories, it will be 65%. And then JEE Advanced is admission to IITs. And for that you have to score really good in JEE Mains almost above 85-90 percentile. And also your 12th board marks should be 75% for General Category and 65% for Reserved Categories.
