Thanks.
According to your query,
You should know that first two to three rounds are very I!portamt for a candidate and most of the result is cleared in that rounds only. But sometimes what happens is that in few last rounds some seats are vacant in NITs or IITs or any other colleges so at that time you get a chance to grab them so it is also important for those who are really willing to get that seat according to their choice and requirements.
Hope you find it useful.
Best of luck for your future.
Thank you.
Hello Karthik!
If your rank is quite good then trust me, there won't be difference. My friend literally got the same seat from mock allotment 2 to 7th round. However, there is no harm in waiting. what if you get something better? the counseling can be really unpredicatble at times.
Hello..!!
Each and every round is important for JOSSA counseling. Seventh round stands separately because it is the last round. There are few interesting things about this round. One, your seat will get freezed automatically and you don't need to report to any IIT, you just need to go for the alloted IIT for verification and admission. And secondly it is good to leave it till seventh round if you don't get preferred seat in between.
Hope this is helpful.
Round 6 will be the last round for seat withdrawal. There wont be any withdrawal after that. If the student misses withdrawing from JoSAA and he also doesnt join the college, he will not be able to participate in JEE exam 2019 and for subsequent years.
Plus, we dont expect much withdrawal in early stages or rounds as it is quite obvious that everyone will see and wait for all the rounds. Why would anyone withdraw after second or third round if JoSAA is giving them full 7 chances to wait and watch?
As seen in the previous stats of JoSAA, people were more benefited in the seventh round than any other rounds. The vacancy created is huge as people withdraw before this very round.
Chances of getting even better college is too high from this round. I personally know few people who were allotted NIT in 1st round and they reached to IIT in the 7th round of counselling.so 7th is more important for IIT seat.
Thank you.
Well if you have a good rank and score in JEE mains and advance.
You will get a seat in the first few rounds. If you aren't satisfied or not willing to join any alloted Institute then you can again hi for further phases and rounds of counselling in order to get a seat in the desired colleges.
Although the further phases are not of much is importance unless you don't get a seat in initial phases.
Hope it helped!
All the best!
