is a student of ap is eligible for kcet examination when either of the parents are not from karnataka
Hello.
A student isn't eligible for admission through KCET if they haven't completed seven years of education in Karnataka. Another criteria is based on parernt's education in Karnataka. However, since you do not have any affiliation to educational institutions in the state, you won't be eligible for KCET. You would have to try for Karnataka colleges through COMEDK UGET.
Hope this helps.
Hello Shravani
Yes he / she is eligible for the exam.
Only thing is that ; they will not get quota ( seats are reserved for the home state students or you can say that some percentage of seats are for home state students.).
Eligibility criteria is :
- Qualifying Exam: Candidates have to qualify the 2nd PUC/10+2 or equivalent exam from a recognized board.
- Subject: Candidates must pass their examination with Mathematics & Physics as a main subject & English as a language subject.
- Minimum Marks: It is compulsory to score at least 45% marks (40% marks in SC/ST category) in physics and mathematics along with one of the subjects, i.e. Biotechnology/Biology/Electronics/Chemistry/Computer science.
Good luck
