Is admission in NIT is also on the basis of 12 marks..like if i got good marks in jee but 70 percent in 12 ..so would i get admission

Hello Suman,

Below are thecriteria for 12th std:

  • You need to have secured a minimum 75% marks in class XII or equivalent exam or be in the top 20 percentile in their class XII exam conducted by the respective board.
  • If you belong to SC/ ST candidates, the eligibility criteria is to secure 65% marks in class XII or equivalent exam.

So that means you will have to bring above 75% in 12th Std so with 70% you aren't eligible.

They only see 12th Marks on the basis of the eligibility. JEE is the main cutoff for most NITS. ALL THE BEST
