Is an Integrated Msc in Data Science considered as engineering in CAT exam?
Hello,
Integrated M.Sc degree is not considered as B.Tech because it has its own value. A candidate pursuing dual degree is eligible to appear for CAT provided he/she must be in the final year of the course or must have completed the course. In your case the percentage of marks scored in Bachelor's degree is considered to determine your eligibility for CAT for whichever duration the Bachelor's degree and Masters Degree is divided. If you belong to general category you need to score minimum 50% aggregate marks in bachelor's degree, if you belong to SC/ST/PWD you need to score minimum 45% aggregate marks. While filling the CAT application fill the marks scored in Bachelors Degree in Education details and in Masters Degree field you need to select yes if you are in final year of the Integrated M.Sc course and provide the details of the course.
