Hello,

539 is a good score in NEET. If I look at the last year's cut off marks then you have chances of getting admission in government Medical College in West Bengal for MBBS

Following are some colleges with their cut off for 2018 under General Category, State Quota

1. Bankura Sammilani Medical College cut off 487.

2. Burdwan Medical College, cut off 500.

3. Calcutta national government Medical College, cut off 509.

4. Medical college, cut off 563.

5. Nil Ratan Sirkar medical college and hospital, cut off 533.

Unfortunately, if you do not get admission for MBBS, you can try for other courses like BDS, BHMS, etc. You can also take a drop year and prepare better for NEET 2020.

However, looking at the last year's cut off, I think you will get admission in West Bengal Medical colleges in general category quota.

Good Luck.

But seat allotment is done according to rank not marks. Rank is predicting probably I would get Murshidabad MC or Malda MC

Yes, the seat allotment is done on the basis of rank. In this case, it's your choice about taking admission in any of these colleges or take a drop. But your score is not that low. So taking one year break for NEET 2020 doesn't seem to be an appropriate way. I think you should go ahead with taking admission in whichever government college you get rather than wasting a year.
