B Tech Automobile Engineering programme at LPU seamlessly articulates the concepts from basic science to technology with relevant practice through lab and projects for building the problem-solving skills, keeping industry requirements in place. Students will develop competence in automobile engineering.

The eligibility for the program is Pass with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 (with Physics, Mathematics, and English) or equivalent. One has to qualify LPUNEST as well.

The program focuses at :

Developing the ability to comprehend the systems in the field of IC Engines, Automobile, Vehicle dynamics, vehicle testing, and Chassis Design.

Propose solution built on an understanding of Thermodynamics, Automotive suspension systems, Homologation and Pollution Control, Automotive component Design, Computer-aided vehicle design, and computer-aided manufacturing for the solutions to real-world problems.

Demonstrate the ability to propose cost-effective optimized solutions for the automobile sector using simulated environments of Computer-aided Vehicle design, computer-aided manufacturing, and computer-aided engineering.

Effectively build and communicate the solutions crafted using learnings from basic automobile engineering, basic sciences, mathematics, and computational skills and tools.

Industry certifications, MOOCs, Hackathons / Co-curricular Competitive events, Workshops, Guest lectures, Educational Trips, Live projects, Incubation projects, Community projects, projects with NGOs, etc. are an integral part of the curriculum. The Content delivery is done by industry experts. There are Projects to be made in collaboration with the industry.

Apart from the regular curriculum, Engineering Minors are offered to students by LPU which are - HVAC, Materials Treatments & Testing, Robotics & Mechatronics, and Six Sigma

The highest salary offered was 31lpa and the average was 4.2 LPA. Rs 48 k internship was the highest internship paid to a student. Students are placed in the best brands like BOSCH ENGINEERING, BOSCH, AND SIEMENS, ASHOK LEYLAND, FORBES MARSHALL, VA TECH WABAG LIMITED, JINDAL UDYOG, GE POWER, etc.

A broad scope for beginners. You will have the options in manufacturing go karts etc and participating in national competitions.



But after college, placement through college is very less in core automobiles almost next to zero.





According to current scenario (2017-18)Most student are placed in IT sector in Good MNC.

BUT when we talk about core industries, the opportunity are less, you have to be unique in your department then only you will be placed.

NOT only in LPU but in other institute also tha vacancy for core industry is very less.

You will get 4-5 core company during your placement and the number of students selected will be not more than 20.

This figure is according to current image of LPU, but you can chose LPU because after 4 years you will get much more than this, the rate of growth is very high.
