BA in English is a very valuable course (How ever there is a difference between BA general and BA hons where BA Hons is a much better option). The main advantage of BA in english is the vast opportunities that will unfold after you complete the course. You can apply for a BEd to get appointed as a teacher or teach as a tutor or go for competitive government exams like UPSC or Banking. Doing a BA in english will help you get a command over the language and you may even apply for the post of translator in many companies.
