Is BCA a good career option ? Can i know about BCA?
BCA is three years undergraduate program imparting theoretical as well as practical knowledge in regards to computer and its applications. Eligibility is passed 10+2 from a recognized board with 50% aggregate( this may differ according to eligibility criteria of universities). Admission is either entrance based such as IPU CET,SET,universities like Christ University conduct entrance test etc while for other it's based on the merit of the qualifying examination.
BCA Graduates can find job oppotunities in Government sectors like IAF,Army and Navy recruit computer professionals pertaining to their IT department. If interested you can also go for UPSC,Banking,SSC,State PSCs etc as eligibility of this examination is graduation with no minimum aggregate required. Private companies like Wipro, Infosys,IBM, HCL recruit these professionals. Job profile includes that of Programmer in various softwate development firms,Software Developer, System Analyst, Web Designer, Technical Associate, IT Technical Support Developer etc.
You can pursue higher studies like MCA, MBA or do CCNP/CCNA Certification.You can also do PhD after MCA for which you need a valid GATE score, you can also go for ME in Computer Science and Engineering which will further broaden working opportunties.

The Bachelor of Computer Applications or BCA is a three-year undergraduate program that is equivalent to a btech. BCA student have skills and knowledge not only in computer and information technology, but also in communication, organization, and management.
