Hello

CA is the most prestigious course in the Commerce stream offered by ICAI. Becoming a CA is not difficult provided the aspirants are dedicated, hardworking, sincere . There is a lot of hard work involved throughout this course. The student might face a lot of difficulty but he/she must be positive and stay focused. Students must make sure then spend most of the time studying, preparing for the CA exams. They have to write mock tests as much as possible, solve previous years question papers and clear doubts if any from the conserned faculty. Systematic effort and sincere study with ensure success for CA exams.

I hope this helps.

Hello

Becoming a Chartered Accountant is not difficult, the journey can be time taking, challenging, you will have to work out of your comfort zone, but it is all worth it.

If your aim is to become a CA and you are ready to work hard and give your best efforts to achieve your goal then such questions should not come up in your mind.

The course requires a student to work hard with consistence and conscientious regularity.

For a student who does not want to study, getting good grades even in regular degree programme becomes difficult for him/her.

We all have certain goals in life and for completing our goals and to achieve success we must work for it.

See, every year many students apply for the CA Entrance exam with an aim to become CA. There are variety of students. Let me tell you some general cases that I know-

1. Some students clear the exam and continue their journey to become a successful CA.

2. Some students clear the entrance exam in the first attempt but they find the further journey (of becoming the CA which include many exams, lot of struggle, articleship, etc.) to be the most difficult and they opt to drop out from the course and opt for any other course.

3. Some students get stuck in the first stage or later stages of the CA journey but still opt to continue with the course. Many of them finally complete the course at the end and in worst cases, some of the students end up doing nothing.

4. Some students those who are not able to clear the entrance exam, take a drop year to clear the exam or just drop the idea of becoming a CA.

5. Some students don’t pursue the course just believing the fact that CA is difficult.

Now, it is up to to you that how much confident you are about pursuing the course.

Before pursuing the course, you must also be aware of the detailed curriculum of the course.

The journey of becoming a CA consist of clearing the three levels.

-Common Proficiency Test (CPT)

-Integrated Professional Certificate Course (IPCC)

-Final Course

After Completing IPCC, there is also a three-year articleship (on-the-job apprenticeship) which candidate have to complete.

CA CPT- Common Proficiency Test (CPT) is conducted for candidates who wish to pursue a career in Chartered Accountancy. CA CPT is an entry-level qualification test which was held twice a year- once in June and once in December under the old scheme.

It should be noted here that CA CPT June 2019 session will be the last session of CPT exam and the exam will not be conducted after the June 2019 session.

Now, CA Foundation exam will be conducted and as per the revised scheme CA Foundation will become the sole CA entry level qualification exam.

CA Foundation Exam Pattern

Objective sum Subjective type questions will be asked in the CA Foundation exam. The exam will consist of four subjects/papers.

Subjects of the papers will be as follows-

Paper 1- Principles and Practice of Accounting

Paper 2- Business Laws & Business Correspondence and Reporting

Section A: Business Laws and

Section B: Business Correspondence and Reporting (this section has to be given compulsorily in the English language)

Paper 3- Business Mathematics and Logical Reasoning & Statistics

Paper 4- Business Economics and Business and Commercial Knowledge

Paper 1 and Paper 2 are descriptive type and Paper 3 and 4 are Objective type papers.

Also, there is a negative marking of one fourth marks in paper 3 and paper 4 for each wrong answer.

After qualifying the CA Foundation exam, candidates will be enrolled in IPCC (Intermediate Professional Competence Course) New course. This course has been designed on the revised education scheme.

CA Intermediate (formerly known as CA IPCC)

Papers in the CA Intermediate exam-

Accounting

Corporate and Other Laws

Cost and Management Accounting

Taxation

Advanced Accounting

Auditing and Assurance

Enterprise Information Systems & Strategic Management

Financial Management & Economics for Finance

As, I have already mentioned that After IPCC or now, Intermediate you will have to do articleship i.e work under a CA.

Articleship is hard. You will have loads of work to complete, deadlines, etc. And also clear the CA Final exams.

There are many papers to clear. You will have to face failure also throughout the journey.

Also, there is a possibility that you will have to distance yourself from your friends or you might end up having a good social life. You will have to face sleepless nights, attending coaching classes, etc.

If you wish to pursue any other course say a degree programme along with CA (to be on a safer side) then you will have to manage those classes also.

Also, during articleship you will be working under someone and you may feel pressurized and burdened.

But, all I want to say is if you want to become a successful CA then you should stay determined and positive to face all the hardships. Also, positivity is the important thing which helps to keep us going. Self-motivation is important during the whole journey. You can keep yourself consistently motivated and remind yourself of your ultimate goal.

All the Best!

To register for CA exams is very easy but passing in those exams is the difficult part because it takes a long time and students require a lot of discipline and perfect attitude to make this a success.

If you consider the syllabus then the syllabus is very  alsovast and difficul but it does not require you to be very intelligent an average student can also complete all the levels of CA with hard work CA cannot be more difficult compared with the exam such as UPSC or IIT it is not difficult to pass the CA exams like tough exams but it is difficult to pass all the exams students stuck at the final stages.

In terms of the contents of the course CA study is a lot of subjects which includes mathematics economics management studies takes accounts but good part of CA is that it is cheaper and student with humble background can also aspire for CA but what makes a difference is that privileges students get registered to good coaching institutes so if you are someone I can I score good marks by self study then you can aspire for CA.

In contrast to degree courses CA does not have any relation with the courses in college it is something in which you learn and appeared for the exam and pass so this requires is dedicated self study hours and good plan to execute on your own because no one will force you to study and assessment will be made at the exam only so if you are not registered for any coaching then you not to do it on your own and pass the exam continuously to become a CA.

The difficult part for CA is that you need to get internship under some CA for 3 years and it is very important to have a proper training and what you study in theory you get use those concepts in the practical life and those students who did not take the training session seriously they find it difficult to understand the concepts in shorts you need to assume that you are going for a long time hard work and you are not going to take a rest because it is the basic requirement to become a CA.

There are two cases if you are someone which is supported by family and you don't have pressure to earn then it is good to go because is it takes time and if you are the sole earning person then there will be pressure from both the side there is a pressure from your studies and also from your job therefore if you are in a job then you should think it properly that whether you will be able to give a proper time to study or not in case of others that is if you are supported by your family then count the years because it is not very easy to become CA in few days it takes a long time in  hard work.

To sum up if you are a student who is hardworking and love the subject then you can go for CA it does not require you to be the most intellectual among your class but what matters is your hard work if you are hardworking student then you can try for CA.

But we Want to say, Only Hard work is not enough to clear CA exams. All Most of the things we do require hard work. Whether it’s our Articleship, job, and CA Exams, we need to exert effort and work extra hard to get the best results possible.

CA Students have to start working smart to get the maximum value for your time and effort. Working hard gives you results, and working hard and smart at the same time gives you the top results.
