Hello aspirant,
It depends on the college in which you want to go for your graduation b.tech or b.sc in some colleges, PCB+65% is compulsory while in some other PCB/M is acceptable with 65%. In my college second one is applicable. It is good to take both maths and biology in 11_12 because in many competitive exams maths is necessary.

YES!!!! Biology is compulsory to take admission for Biotechnology engineering in any of the colleges either NITs or IITs...
Without have biology in 12th, you will not get admission in biotechnology. So, you have to pass in 12th exams with 55% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
The eligibility criteria for Biotechnology engineering is:
10+2 with maths, biology, and chemistry...
Moreover, B.E. Biotechnology is a 4-yeargraduate degree program, the minimum eligibility is the 12th class with maths, biology, and chemistry from a recognized school board or its equivalent exam.
