Birsa Agricultural University is a UGC-approved University, it was established in 1981. It is a Moderate university. This university offers various courses such as Undergraduate, Postgraduate, Diploma, certified, and Ph.D. courses in numerous specializations. It also has facilities such as Library, Canteen, Hostel, Conference Hall, Hospital, Guest House, etc with highly educated and capable faculty. The courses offered here are, B.Sc, B.V.Sc and AH, B.Sc Hons in Forestry, M.Sc, M.Sc in Agriculture, Forestry, M.Tech, MBA, Ph.D., and so on. The university has its entrance exam and the candidates can apply for this exam via offline mode. Candidates are shortlisted based on their entrance results. The entrance exams are conducted by JCECE.

B.Sc Hons in Agriculture is one of the most popular courses of this university. It is a 4-year long degree program. The approximate first-year fees of this course are Rs. 13,500
MBA in Agribusiness course is a 2-year post-graduation course and it costs Rs 14,300 per one year
M.Tech in agriculture is also a 2 year Post Graduation program and the annual fee of this course is Rs 45,000. It is a course on Agricultural Engineering
As I said earlier this is a moderate university and the university is constantly improving but there is a lot that needs to be done.

ICAR-Indian Veterinary Research Institute, Bareilly, ranked 5th by ICAR
Punjab Agricultural University, Punjab, ranked 7th by ICAR
Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Punjab, got 8th rank by ICAR
Indira Gandhi Krishi Vishwavidyalaya, Chhattisgarh, got 10th rank by ICAR

Birsa agricultural University is a good college for BSC in agriculture and it is best in Jharkhand. The campus, established on 1982, is huge , maybe the shortage of faculties is a problem. Multi have in good lab for in research purpose. There are total fifty seats for PSC in agriculture course. Admission is done on the basis of ICAR examination and 85% seats are reserved for Jharkhand combined entrance examination.
