Yes it is. But there are two necessary conditions required for the upgradation:
- There should be empty seats available in the respective branch. So for example if you want to upgrade to CSE, there should be at least one empty seat in CSE branch at the end of first year, as in only that case they will allow the upgradation.
- Many students want to upgrade, priority will be given to the one with highest CGPA. So, your CGPA should be high enough.
So you can not be 100% sure of upgradation. But the possibility is there.
