MBBS is a professional Medical Course and B.Sc is a Bachelor's in professional Agricultural course. By all means any professional degree course is better than a B.Sc course. Having said that, there is no dearth of opportunities for B.Sc Agriculture. You can appear for Government examinations like IBPS PO, SBI PO, UPSC, your State Civil Entrance examinations, etc. With right direction to your career, you can become an agricultural scientist or a teacher or even an entrepreneur. FCI is one Central Government sector which hires B.Sc Agricultural students. You can also try for jobs in Insurance sector, research, etc. If you want to pursue your Masters in Agriculture you have to appear for various Entrance examinations like ICAR PG, UPCATER, CMAFFU, etc. There are more than 14 National research Centres and 6 National Bureau where you can also pursue your Ph.D. You can do your MBA in Agricultural Management. You can attempt UGC NET for the post of an Assistant Professor. SBI also conducts recruitments for Junior Agricultural Cadets as well. So there is no dearth of opportunities in B.Sc Agriculture, if you take the right steps.
