The eligibility criteria to appear for UPSC is passed graduation in any discipline from a recognized university, there is no such restriction of belonging to specific stream, and BSc Geography is a good option regarding this, the reason being there is considerable overlap of syllabus of general studies of prelims and mains, and you can also have it as an optional paper, and the syllabus of optional paper is nothing short of graduation studies, hence if you go for your graduation subject then you will already be well familiar with the syllabus, and all the knowledge, so the preparation process become comparatively easier,
