B.Tech in Food Technology is a 4 year undergraduate degree course, it basically covers the study of Food processing, application and techniques in the food industry and also preservation techniques of food.
The average course fee ranges from Rs 40000-1.2 lacs. However it depends on the colleges and it varies from one to one.
The employment or job areas may include restaurants,bakeries,hotels,etc.
Students can also opt for M.Tech in Food technology after the graduation.
Regarding your doubt of average student, it is not about an average or bright student ,it mainly requires dedication and significant interest towards the course.

Hey dear, not every person finds btech food technology interesting. There are some people who wants to know more about food techniques and their industries, only they pursue it. Yes, i can say than an average student can study it very well,as many students find numericals tough during engineering and in btech in food tech. there are almost no numericals, so yes you can understand it well.
