Is b.tech(Mechanical) student is eligible for M.tech in petroleum engineering?

No, an aspirant who had completed B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering branch isn't eligible for M. Tech in Petroleum Engineering. The eligibility criteria for M. Tech in petroleum engineering is the candidate should have completed the B. Tech in Chemical Engineering or B. Tech in petroleum engineering. Hence you have a tough chance to get eligible for M. Tech in Petroleum Engineering.

* I am sorry to inform you that no you can not go for higher study in M.Tech petroleum engineering after completing the B.Tech in mechanical engineering because the eligibility criteria is to get an admission in M.Tech in petroleum engineering t the candidate should have to be a a B.Tech or B.E degree in chemical engineering or petroleum engineering. And also the students who have completed the M.Sc in chemistry eligible for M.Tech in Petroleum engineering.
* So, you should opt any other engineering subject for your higher studies that is M. Tech which is related to your present stream.
