No cat exam is not applicable for admission of B.tech in IIT.

From Cat Exam you will get admission for MBA program in different IIM ,IIT and other good colleges.For getting admission in IIT for B.tech degree you have to clear JEE Advanced exam.

Hi Pratik ! No cat is not at all an extrance exam to do b.tech. Through cat exam one can admissions in IIM to do MBA which is a two year course. To do b.tech in IIT you must give two entrance exam - one is JEE main and the other is JEE advance exam. It's a four year course. So hope you understand and best of luck to you.
