Hi aspirant,
Yes if the candidates belong to any reserved categories they are required to upload that category certificate at the time of registration. However in case you do not have the required certificate at the time of registration there is a solution for it too. At the time of registration there is a option of undertaking where you need to agree that you belong to reserved category and would produce the certificate within the required time. By selecting this option you can get the benefits of reserved categories at the time of counselling where you would be required to upload the desired certificate.
Hope it helps!
Hello Aspirant,
Yes if you belongs to any reservation category such as EWS/OBC/SC/ST/PwD then you have to submit the valid category certificate in JEE-Main 2022 application form to claim your reservation benefits. Also note that the certificate should be of similar format as available on the official website of JOSAA :-
https://josaa.nic.in/webinfo/File/ViewFile?FileId=6&LangId=P
In case if you don't have the certificate in similar format or if you have to apply for new one and also you want to appear for JEE-Advance then don't apply for new your respective category certificate right now because as per the information brochure of JEE-Advance 2022 the certificate should be issued on or after April 1st 2022 so if you get it issued now then you would require new one for JEE-Advance as well.
****So what you can do for now is, when the JEE-Main application goes live then there will be a self undertaking which you can upload in the JEE-Main application form in lieu of the category certificate which declares that you will submit the original and valid caste certificate later on at the time of admission. And then after April 1st 2022 you can apply for new category certificate and suppose if you do not get it by the time of JEE-Advance examination then in JEE-Advance application form also you can do the same thing because for that also there will be self undertaking so you can use that.****
But if you are only aiming for JEE-Main then you can go ahead and get your new category certificate issued now because JEE-Main 2022 application process can anytime gets started.
