Hi Somya !
Let me lay down some important points that you might want
to consider before deciding which mode of the test you want to take :
Paper Based Test :
Time-Consuming : In case you make a mistake , erasing the oval and
attempting that answer might be time-consuming.
Marking Correctly : It can be confusing and might be easy to mark
the wrong answer due to shading of the large number of tiny circles for
each answer in the OMR Sheet .
Reading Skills : Some people find it easier to read faster on paper than
on a computer screen . This can vary from person to person.
Computer Based Test :
Software device familiarity : You need to be familiar with using devices
such as keyboard and mouse .
Technical Glitches : There are chances there might be technical failure
in which case you might lose time having to attempt the test again .
If there are any issues , you will need to contact the invigilator immediately .
CBT Centers : Fewer Computer-aided centers available so please ensure
you choose one which has good computer infrastructure so that there are
fewer chances of technical or electrical failures.
Difficulty-wise , it’s the more or less the same for both modes .
So you might want to take mock CBTs and mock PBTs to assess
which is easier for you and choose accordingly .
This will help you figure out whether you can attempt more questions
easily and accurately in which mode and which mode helped you score more marks .
Hope this helps, all the best!
