Chemical Engineering is more to do with the process of designing of equipment or chemical process. It involves in depth calculations of processes involved in making equipment eg calculations of heat transfer area in heat exchanger or pressure in pump line etc. It works on practical knowledge.
Chemical technology involves theoretical stuff as it works with study of different processes involved in chemical industry like study of process of producing ammonia or study of process of petroleum refining etc.
