Chemical engineering is definitely a good course to study. If you are inclined towards chemistry or are contemplating this course then I must tell you chemical engineers do have good job opportunities in various Industries given that you study from a good college. Companies like FMCG(Nestle, Amul, P&G rtc), Automobile (Toyota, GM etc), Pharmaceutical (Glenmark, Allergan, Cipla etc) and other industries hire chemical engineers and offers them a pretty high compensation package.

Hey sai! Chemical Engineering program revolves around the concept of application of Chemistry in day to day lives as well as Industrial processes. Some important topics present in B.E./B.Tech. program are- chemical reactions, material science, energy, chemical technology, biochemistry, molecular chemistry etc. Government and Private sector jobs are available for graduates in ample amounts! Talking about Government sector jobs, Graduates may land job in firms like ONGC, BPCL, DRDO, Indian Oil Corporation, State owned Fertilizer manufacturing units, Food and Drug Department etc. But it totally depends on the college you are choosing for your higher education.
