The State or Federal Governments hire Food Safety Officers for administrative positions. The State Civil Services (SCS) exam serves as the foundation for the hiring process. To sit for the SCS exam, a candidate needs to have either a graduate degree or a master's degree.
The candidate must hold a graduate degree in the science stream in order to be eligible to appear in the admission exam for the same. For the same, chemistry is required. Medical graduates who have completed at least a year of training in food inspection are eligible to apply as wel l.
