Greetings! Chemical engineering has a wide application area and covers many broad aspects in it whils surface coating technology is itself a sub part of chemical engineering . In chemical engineering , you will not get to know much about surface coating technology(SCT)  as it is just a part of it while in SCT , you will study about only this so you will cover every small aspect of it.
