Hi,
It is definitely a good college.
The teaching faculty is good. They are quite professional and passionate about their respective subjects and teaching. Many of them have long years of industry experience, they are quite learned in terms of qualifications.
Curriculum is good, they update it every year. You have guest lectures and corporate interface by top industry professionals (some of them alumni). The curriculum is designed as per the AACSB (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) and NBA accreditation requirement. The management is trying to get an AACSB accreditation, it is under process, once it is done the Christ MBA will be considered up to global standards and equivalent to an American MBA.
All the three campuses are very well equipped and maintained, some of the best in Bengaluru. The crowd is very good, from all around India, some NRIs. Most students come straight out of their UG without work experience or life experience, some might find them a bit juvenile for MBA, some have work experience from good companies and are quite mature.
Plenty of co-curricular activities and cultural festivals. In Christ there are a lot of degree programs even apart from MBA, like journalism, psychology, so every department will be having some or the other festival all the time. You get to participate or at least see something always.
Difficult part is that it is very strict in terms of attendance and submissions. You will be evaluated based on Continuous Internal Assessment, not only based on exams. It can be a bit stressful at times, you will have continuous submissions and exams, 1 mid term, 1 end term, 2 submissions per subject every trimester. You will have a lot of research based assignments, plagiarism isn’t allowed unlike most other Indian colleges so you can’t just take admission and bunk classes and copy paste in your assignments. You will have to adhere to the dress code, some basic things like Jeans you cannot wear to college, you have to wear formals all the time.
Placements are quite good from the perspective of a Tier 2 college and the RoI (since you will pay a course fees of 8 to 8.5 lakhs). You can expect an average of 8 LPA and going up to 18LPA for some companies with marketing profiles that visit. You have Big 4s coming, IT companies coming for all the specializations.
