Civil Engineering is one of the oldest branches of engineering. It is called an Evergreen branch of engineering because construction and demolition will go on as long as the world exists. Hence, Civil Engineers will be required.
Civil engineering has quite a beautiful scope in India. But remember, you will have to be patient. You have many options once you complete civil engineering in India, which can place you better. Only the condition is you should have a sound knowledge of civil engineering basics and concepts and their practical application.
You have an ample number of opportunities in PSUs and Government Sectors. So, I will suggest if you are interested in Civil Engineering, you should pursue your B.E./B.Tech in the discipline.
