Considering an example from NIT Trichy, Placement for civil engineering students is in NIT's is decent, but it is less in comparison to other branches. As of 2019, 80% students have been placed, and the highest package offered till now is 17 LPA. Overall, you will get placed with a very good package if you have talent, and with less talent even you can get placed but with lesser packages.
