Is CLAT a goverment exam as it allows entry in national law university ?

Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) is a centralised national level exam for getting into National Law Universities(NLUs).The test is conducted by Consortium of NLUs. Most government and private law schools consider CLAT score for admission purposes. Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) is a national level exam. Admissions through CLAT are offered in the 22 national law universities of India and other affiliated law schools. At the undergraduate level, the NLUs are offering around 2538 seats while around 742 seats are being offered for the LLM course. CLAT 2020 will be now be conducted in online computer-based mode; previously the exam was conducted in pen-and-paper (offline) mode.
Common law admission test(CLAT) is a centralised national level entrance test for admissions to to twenty two national law universities(NLU) in india. The test is taken after the higher secondary examination or 12th grade for admission to integrated undergraduate degree in law.
