Hey Muskan.

CLAT is the entrance exam to 17 National Law Universities all ovet India. It offers 5 year integrated course as well as 3 year law. For getting admission in any of these NLU's appearing for CLAT is mandatory.

Furthermore, there are some colleges which take their own entrance tests, wile some take admission on the basis of your class 12th score.

IPUCET-for colleges affilIated to GGSIPU

BLAT- for BHU law college

LSAT- for some private and government colleges like Jindal law school,

SET- for Symbiosis Law school

ULSAT- for UPES, Dehradun

MHCET- For colleges in Maharashtra including GLC,Mumbai and ILS, Pune (GLC, Mumbai also takes admission on the basis of class 12 score)

There are other regional colleges which can be opted for 5 year law which can be opted for.

University of Lucknow, Lucknow

Osmania University, Hyderabad

Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University, Muzaffarpur

Jamia Millia Islamia University, New Delhi

Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra

Barkatullah University, Bhopal

I hope this serves your query. For further confusions please feel free to respond.

All the best.

Hello muskan.

CLAT is a combined entrance examination for 12-14 National Law Schools. If you want to enter into these NLUs, you have to appear for the CLAT. There is no other shortcut.

However, there are other good law schools which have their separate entrance exam or is selection is done on the basis of your +2 marks. Some of the important law school exams that I can think of:

1. LSAT - Jindal Law School

2. AILET - NLU Delhi

3. BLAT - BHU Law School

4. GLC Mumbai - On the basis of +2 marks

5. Amity Law School (through CET and own entrance exam)

6. SET - Symbiosis Law School

7. KLSAT - KIIT Law School

8. CET - IP University, Delhi

9. Christ University Law School

10. ULSAT - UPES Dehradun

For reference, you can check the ratings of these colleges as per career360

Good luck!
