Well it is actually a subjective question that you asked. Some people don't take any coachings yet they crack JEE Mains, whereas some people couldn't crack even after taking coachings. Now is coaching important, the answer to this question lies within you. If you study regularly, have a clear idea and conscience about what are you doing,you understand everything you study and most importantly whether you want to do it or not then I would say coaching is not required. But there is a pattern on how to crack Mains, and those coaching centres know that.So if you think you cannot pull this off on your own then you can join a coaching institute. Whatever you do, just first have a clear thought and think logically about what are you going to do, don't get overconfident over yourself and thats how you can achieve anything in life. Always remember, one has to work hard to fullfill his/her dreams, but that hard work should be in the right direction. Only there after you can be succesfull.
