Hello,

Computer Science and Information Technology are two completely different subjects in the course of Engineering.

B.Tech in CSE is an 4 year undergraduate course of computer, its hardware, software, insights into the practical knowledge of computer, etc. A candidate needs to pass his/her 10+2 exam from a recognized board with a minimum marks of 50% on Physics,Mathematics and English. This is the basic eligibility criteria.

B.Tech in IT is an undergraduate 4 year course in the field of information technology.Students are taught with high level language, innovation of new technological ideas, new computer skills, integrate hardware and software, etc. Minimum of 60% marks needs to be obtained in Physics,Chemistry,Maths and Computer Science.50% marks is to be obtained in Maths.

Hope this helps.

Thank you.

Computer science and information technology are such branches of engineering which have exact same subjects, but one subject is extra in fourth year in cse engineering. Both the branches have most of the value during placement as well as teaching too. Computer science is preferred over IT by many companies but both of them hold equivalent imoortance.
