is cse in govt college of engineering and textile technology berhampore a good option for career?
Hello Aloke,
The B.Tech CSE course at Government College of Engineering and Textile Technology, Berhampore is quite good as the faculty members there have experience of 5 to 35 years, and they provide training to the students on the best of their capabilities. It is sure that you won't face any problem in education. The only problem is the placements. There are no internship opportunities and also, there will be no on-campus placements. You will need to find jobs off campus, and all you will get is suggestions from the teachers about jobs. If you want to pursue B.Tech CSE with less expenses, then this college is recommended.
Hop it helps!!!
Dear Aspirant,
GCETT is mainly famous for their textile technology however it is a government college that too which falls under MAKAUT; so the syllabus is same just like other colleges under the MAKAUT and once you're in college be prepared to learn everything by yourself. Work hard so that your skills and performance can get you into any job you will be applying for; be it via campus or off-campus. The infrastructure is amazing and it is one of the few colleges with NAAC accredited Grade A of West Bengal.
- Faculty: GCETT's CSE department is pretty much good. Well interactive, helpful but in the end of the day you'll have to be sincere and communicate with your teachers in order to increase your learning abilities. If you don't work hard, don't possess the relevant skills. no college can aid you in getting a good placement.
- Tech Clubs: The annual tech fest and Jagriti will help immensely to gain specific skills and enjoy simultaneously.
- Labs: Efficient laboratories like Centralised Computing Labs, VLSI design Labs, Basic Computing Labs and OS labs.
Inter- Branch Collabs: Gaining a rock-solid technical aptitude will increase your chances in relations like IoT(CSE-ECE collaboration), End-to-End Development (CSE-IT collaboration), Material Properties Simulation (CSE-CT collaboration). This is very important in learning similar skill sets.
