Yes, most of Computer Science and Engineering and Information Technology Graduates apply for GATE CS. Although you are free to apply for any Stream if you have all essential qualification criteria. But, Most relevant stream will be GATE CS for You.

Yes, for the students of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) and Information Technology (IT), candidates will have to take up the GATE-CS paper only.
