No. Both are different. One can enroll for PhD through CSIR NET. programs across the country but limited to ICAR NET having eligibility criteria for lectures in agricultural universities. Also, CSIR NET is a tough nut to crack. Best wishes!

Yes, both CSIR- UGC NET and UGC NET is different. USIR- UGC NET is a test conducted to determine the eligibility of candidates for Junior Research fellowship (JRF) and Lectureship/ Assistant Professor in Indian Universities & colleges in the subject areas falling under the faculty of science & technology.
NET (The national eligibility test) is conducted on behalf of UGC (University grants commission) for determining the eligibility of candidates for Assistant professor, Junior Research fellowship for Indian colleges or universities for all subjects of every stream.
