It all depends on what you seek at the end of your engineering. Being a CTAEian, I know the harsh reality of placement season where 45 students from ECE, 45 students from electrical,45 from CSE and 60 from IT, all have only one ultimate goal and that is TCS, that too with a package of 3–3.5 LPA. No other MNC arrives on campus apart from TCS.Rest is your luck with pool campus drives. And FYI, IT department is closed now in CTAE.

But if we talk about other departments like mining and agriculture, you get way better opportunities as agriculture and mining students are offered an initial package of almost 6–7 LPA from companies like Mahindra, Sonalika, Hindustan Zinc.
