Hi Manish
Students often confuse that whether to do diploma or 12th after their matriculation. If you want to settle down fast in your life doing diploma will be the best for you.In diploma, after completion of your three years course, you will be surely hired by companies and you will get a good job.On the other hand, companies also prioritize for giving jobs to diploma students when compared to b tech students as they have more practical knowledge with diploma. If you want to further continue your studies after diploma you can directly join into b tech 2nd year by writing an entrance exam.
so,if your aim is to be an engineer,it would be helpful for you with diploma ground as compared to intermediate background.
Or else, you are not sure about your aim or you still don't have any idea about in which field you are interested in,you better go with 12th science.Because, having an intermediate certificate is mandatory for some government exams and you will have more options to choose your career. After your intermediate, you can go for engineering or management or for government jobs and many more.....
So,keeping all these points in view, choose the best for you.Good luck!
Dear Student,
If you are very clear about your career choice then you can start with a Diploma then take a Degree Program (B.E. or B.Tech) via lateral entry and become professionally qualified. It is important in an Indian context to become professionally qualified from an acceptance point of view for managerial positions etc. The good thing about a Diploma course is that it is very hands on and you develop practical skills that is debatable in the Degree programs – which tend to delve more on theory. Also a point you need to understand is that the PCM standard in +2 is much higher than in your Diploma classes. Hence it becomes important to brush up on Mathematics so that you find it easier when doing B.E/B. Tech. So if you are very focused then this route is recommended.
If you are undecided on your career choice then taking the +2 option is safer as it gives you two years to understand what is it you really want to do in life. Please understand that it is your talent/passion/dedication to succeed in a particular field is what will ultimately lead you to success and not the profession.
Good Luck
Yes, Both of them has its own pros and cons. If you want to do diploma, it adds up to your CV but not given importance as doing degree after 12th has its own reputation. Also, folks have mindset that if they diploma course they'll be considered as lower category and might say that the student is also not interested in studying higher level programs. So, Yes both are good. Sky is Limit and there's no restrictions.
