Hello,
The concept of distance learning helps many students who for some reasons haven't been able to pursue their higher studies through regular mode, with the advancement of teaching education has changed a lot, more so if you see due to this pandemic many colleges of regular mode have shifted their teaching to online mode, hence in this day and age the very concept of education has changed drastically, and yes, distance learning is a great option as long as the university from you are pursuing it is recognized by ugc, the courses offered are valid, but one of the important thing that I can mention here is today it ain't only about academic scores, you need to have a diverse profile when it comes to your resume, what I mean is going beyond the academic scores, today not only private companies but even if you appear for any government exams it always holds a good impression if you have done something more than your academics, it can be anything related to your passion for technology, learning short term certifications pertaining to your field, or probably involving yourself in some NGOs, our country has various issues related to myriad areas, for instance the value of education is still an alien concept for a lot of people because of outdated mindset, so to be able to contribute in such causes don't just bring contentment but it also help the interview panel realize a different side of the candidate, so these are some of the small areas that a candidate can build, usually distance education is more about self-study, classes are held in weekends though but then it's more of self-efforts as I said, the study materials provided are written in simple and lucid language for better understanding, it also matters in which you want to do distance learning for instance if you're already graduate, and want to do MBA in distance mode then it's better option more so if you're working professionals, as it's going to help you in your career advancements.
