Your admission in engg college is not depend on your board exam.It will depends on the rank of engg entrance exam like jee main or state govt entrance exam and private college entrance. So you have to score good in these entrance exam.

Best of luck.

You admission in an engineering institute depends on your rank in it's entrance exam.

If you are talking about jee, then you 12th class marks matter least. All you should be worried about is your rank in exam.

This is same for other university exams and well as state enterance exams. Though if you have quota as SC/ST/OBC or handicapped quota, then the chances of hike in rank are great.

Thank you.

best colleges give admission on the basis of your JEE MAIN rank like DTU,NIT,NSIT,LNCT they give admission on the basis of JEE MAIN rank. For these colleges your JEE MAIN should be clearotherwise you can also give BITSAT exam.

Jee main score it a legitimate need to get into any good engineering college. Previously 12 board score were also supervised to get rank but now days it totally depends on your jee score and rank.

No, 85% in 12th is not enough to get good engineering college. %age is just eligibility criteria. You will not get any college on basis of 12th %age. You have to give all India level exams and get good rank in it. You have to give jee mains, BitSAT or some university level exam to get good college. My board %age was 96.22% it didn't help me to get good college. I got NIT college on basis of my jee main rank. So if you want to do engineering from good college than you have to prepare for all India level or university level engineering exam. But if you want to do BSC , BCom from top college of India than you should prepare for Board exam and get good %age in it.
