Is domicile certificate compulsory for MHT CET Counselling?Is there any alternative?

The admissions to the degree colleges in Maharashtra are through 2 quotas, Maharashtra state candidate(MS) & All India quota (OMS).
Domicile is proof that a candidate belongs to his/her particular state.
Now if you are from Maharashtra state and want to get admission through MS quota, then you will have to produce domicile certificate.
The seat availability for MS candidate is greater than for OMS candidate. So it will be better if you are able to get a domicile certificate. If it is taking too long to be issued you can submit the receipt of the application for Domicile certificate. Make sure you talk with the related authorities regarding this.
