is economic hons and msc economics from very good college not good, I heard my ca brother that it is very specialised and jobs in India are less so I will get low paid job but campus placement are good 10lpa, is it true?

Economics is an excellent subject and it is no doubt very interesting. Economic Honors has been in prominence in India since past few years. More number of students are opting Economics Honors. It is divided into micro and macro economics and focusses on study of the scope, limitations, consumers, markets, production and distribution of goods and services in an economy.
It has a wide scope in India. For example students have following job opportunities after pursuing Economic Honors.:
- Economist: He studies and analyses the production, transfer and consumption of wealth and capital resources in an economy.
- Credit Manager: As the name suggests, he is responsible for managing credits of firm and economy.
- Financial Planner: He/ She analyzes the investment and credit portfolios of a firm.
- Investment Banker: He/ she is responsible for analyzing different companies and suggesting the board members to invest in a particular set of assets in order to raise the capital of the organization.
There are other job opportunities also. So Economics Hons. cannot be underestimated.
