Engineering is one of the best course and it has very bright future in India as indian gdp is increasing every year and for that engineers play a vital role. Engineers is the backbone of economy as without engineers no construction, no electricity generation, no machine manufacturing and almost hole economy will fall. But if you are in doubt of the implementation of AI and machine learning then yes some of the jobs will be replaced by robots and machines but not all as we can't rely on machines totally as they may have faults or nowadays even hacked so engineers have bright future.
