Yep, As a subject of class 12th English is mandatory. Further after completion of Class 10+12 Its depend on to colleges and institute would you like to take admission it is required and not. You must know the English are this scenario is really helpful for future.

It depends on the college and course applying for. After completion of your 10+2 when you take admission in any undergraduate course or appear in an entrance exam you need to fulfill certain eligibility requirements. For some courses you must have studied English in 10+2 level and passed in it. So you will get admission only if you have fulfilled it. If there is no such criteria it is okay if you have studied English or not.
