It depends on the college and course applying for. After completion of your 10+2 when you take admission in any undergraduate course or appear in an entrance exam you need to fulfill certain eligibility requirements. For some courses you must have studied English in 10+2 level and passed in it. So you will get admission only if you have fulfilled it. If there is no such criteria it is okay if you have studied English or not.
