is foreign language is demanded in India. if I do it from a well known college or university, then will it be demanding and what are the avg salary? which foreign language is highly demanded all over the world. except English

Foreign languages are in great demand in a lot of jobs due to globalisation and more exchange around the world to India, through India. From the requirement of translators to e general jobs, they always give you an upper hand over others. Your pay will depend on the work and the organisation you are a part of. If you are working for for PR or Marketing department of any MNC can earn Rs. 30000 to Rs. 50000 per month. Teaching job: Rs. 15000-Rs. 25000 per month. Translators receive Rs. 250- Rs. 500 per page which would depend on your proficiency in the language. An interpreter can charge upto Rs.2000 to Rs. 4000 an hour depending on his/her caliber and experience.

The companies who hire such professionals are:

Accenture, IBM, Amazon, Samsung, Evalueserve, Wipro, Fiserv, TCS, Tech Mahindra, INFOSYS, Kuliza and Scabbard

Five foreign languages which are in demand are- Mandarin Chinese, French, Spanish, German and Japanese. Other languages which are rising in the market right now are- Russian, Korean, Portuguese, Italian and Arabic.

The demands for foreign language in India is rising due to globalization and a lot of content which is available in different languages. As an interpreter, you could earn up to Rs. 2000 per hour if you speak Japanese, Korean or Chinese. As a Spanish or French teacher, your starting salary will be around Rs. 40,000 per month. Arabic is also a viable option because you could make close to a lakh for just a month's work by assisting Arabic patients that visit hospitals in New Delhi.
