Hello aspirant, we cannot compare the exams, the gate is used for getting a job in PSU or going for further M.tech in some premiere institutions like IIT's and other. On the other hand, CAT exam is for doing Mba in good b-schools, Gate exam depends more on the core subject of engineering whereas the gate exam is more mathematical and english driven.
