The Civil Engineering at VIT University, Vellore is good. The faculty are decent enough. Most of them are Ph.D holders at VIT University, Vellore. However the civil engineering is an emerging field. The infrastructure projects will be regularly going on for civil engineering. Unfortunately there are only few placements at VIT University, Vellore. There are only 40-50% students of civil engineering are placed at Core jobs. The top companies that visit this university for Civil engineering are L&T, Godrej properties, Saint gobain, Tata housing and many more. However to get job at L&T you should be in top 40 students at VIT. There will be a huge competition. You need to work hard. Anyways if you score a good CGPA and if you maintain good marks then you have maximum chances to get job in a good core company at VIT. It is not that waste neither it is not that good for Civil Engineering at VIT.
