Hello Soumya

I am sorry to say that in NDA only male candidates are eligible to appear for the exam. But you can try for several other entrance exam conducted for recruitment into the Army.

1. Combined Defence Services:

Women officers are inducted in the Indian Army through Short Service Commission scheme. The candidate is required to appear for the CDS examination conducted by UPSC.

Eligibility Criteria:

The candidate must be in the age group of 19-25 years.

The candidate must be a graduate.

He/She should be unmarried.

They should satisfy the physical standards required for the post.

2. Short Service Commission:

This scheme is directly notified by Directorate General Recruiting twice a year, in the month of June/July and December/January.

Eligibility:

The candidate must be in the age group of 20-27 years.

The candidate must hold an engineering degree in the notified stream from a recognized university.

The candidate should be unmarried.

3. NCC (SPL) Entry-

Women NCC Cadets can be inducted in the Indian army through NCC(SPL) Entry Women Scheme.

Eligibility:

The candidate should be 19-25 years old.

The candidate must be a graduate with minimum 50% marks.

The candidate must have completed 2 years of service in NCC senior division army, with a minimum B grade in C Certificate Examination.

So, I would encourage you to try for any of the services and have a positive attitude towards achieving your dream.

I hope this answer helps you. Good Luck!
