GITAM is one of the well reputed universities anf pursuing degree there is a great step. And coming to the question you asked, it totally depends on your interest. If you're much into coding and writing programmes, learning several languages, CSE would be good for you. If you're into Physics and how communication works, you're good to go with ECE. The only advantage of taking up ECE is you'll be introduced to the core of ECE and few basic languages. Most of the people choosing ECE would not end up in core jobs and they'll have to come back for software jobs which would have you deal with languages and coding.

We generally rate or define btech colleges according to their placement records. So Definitely CSE is good. Look as it is a private college, maximum tech companies visits the campus for placements. So most of the CS engineers are recruited is the placement or easy to get placed. But in case ECE, opportunity is slightly low but they also got good placements.

But I would recommend you that go with your interest. Whatever you like, take these. If you are good at these, you will definitely shine.
