An active placement cell exists at the University. In each of the institute's, GITAM has developed a training and placement centre led by a prominent faculty member. The maximum package provided in 2020 was around 18 lakh per annum. ITC Ltd., Nestle,ICICI Group, TCS, Reliance Group of Companies, HDFC Bank, Bajaj Gen. Insurance , Big Bazaar and HDB Financial Services are some of the well known Industry brands that have participated in the University's placements.

Established in year 1980 gitam university is a private college which offers 33 courses. It is approved by AICTE and has grade A NAAC accreditation. It has amazing infrastructure and campus. With proper environment for students to study. The faculty is good. The college provides great placement. The placement varies from department to department but overall 75 to 80% students gets placed which 90% for CSE department. The highest salary offered is 18 LPA to ECE department by amazon. With average salary around 4.5 to 7 LPA. Top recruiters are accenture, amazon, coraf tech, DOTLINKER, CDK global, collins aerospace
